Rag & Flag is an annual event organized by the NUS Students’ Union (NUSSU). Every year, on Flag Day, students from the Halls of Residence and Faculty Clubs in NUS fan themselves out across the whole of Singapore, collecting donations in tin cans in aid of our beneficiaries. On Rag Day, stunning floats and impressive performances are then put up by the same Halls of Residences and Faculty Clubs to express our heartfelt thanks to the public for their generous donations.
NUS Rag 2010 will not only be purely a school event limited to our own undergraduates and staff. It will be bigger and grander this year particularly; in view of collaboration with YOG. YOG will be holding one of their celebratory events during NUS Rag Day 2010 with performance put up by NTU students and fireworks display. There will also be greater media coverage than before with Rag 2010 being part of the leg of the Youth Olympic Flame. Hence, in addition to the locals, there may be a possibility that Rag 2010 will be featured and aired to the international community.
